FILCANSYA IS DERIVED FROM THE WORD ‘ALKANSYÁ’

Alkansyá (alkansˈja): coin bank, piggy bank

Meant to represent the tides and gratuity from our community and supporting our future, FILCANSYA is student bursary that was developed as our response from the 2023 National Student Survey released last year.

The FILCANSYA is our first student led initiative to celebrate and demonstrate an investment with the Filipino-Canadian student community.

This initiative would not have been made possible without the generosity from SunLife Montréal. It is with their support we are able to grant the FILCANSYA recipient a total of $1,000 CAD.
